What is the best tip you've heard for staying healthy?

Health and fitness

In my experience as a consultant Gastroenterologist, these 5 tips have helped my patients the most.

Cola: Never drink any cola or juice from a packet. never. If you want a drink, make lemonade or lassi or coconut water or OO plain simple crystal clear water. Cola is a poison that you pay for, packets of fruit juices have a lot of potential cancer-causing sugar preservatives and unhealthy amounts. Stick to water and fresh lemonade.

Walk: Run 30 minutes faster. Make it a habit, evening or morning doesn't matter, do it when you can, but do it daily. Even on Sundays, even on rainy days. This will not only improve your heart function but also better circulation to the brain will boost your memory and mental sharpness.

Sleep: You need 8 hours a day. Do not manage with 6 or 7 hours. If you can manage then the baseline should be 8. Sleep not only recharges you but also boosts your immune system and helps in body healing and regeneration.

Carbs: Cut down on carbohydrates. Period. Completely cut down on rice and wheat or bread in the diet. Do not shut it all together, because you need energy. But if you regularly take one plate of rice, now take half a plate. If you eat two slices of bread, then take one slice. You will soon notice that you feel lighter and faster and it will be over 6 months, helping you lose about 3 kg of weight without any exercise.

Eggs: Eat 3 eggs daily. Eggs are the cheapest source of the highest quality protein. Packed with high-quality amino acids, vitamins, minerals and brain-boosting fats; Eggs are the health food of God. Forget all the myths you read in cheap tabloids. Eggs are a superfood and anyone (without active heart disease due to congenital high cholesterol levels) can consume 3 or 4 eggs a day. Eggs are very easy to digest and help to keep your bones strong and help to keep hair growth and eyesight sharp.
Follow this advice for at least 3 months. (Before you start seeing a visible change in your health).
